Tayse operates out of its 300,000
square feet distribution center in Calhoun, GA.
We are looking for an experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager for our 300,000
square feet distribution center.
The ideal candidate is expected to have an excellent problem-solving attitude, strong organizational and time management skills.
Key Accountabilities Own the processes and supervise teams that are engaged in receiving, storing and shipping products (already packaged machine-made area rugs and furniture).
The Team size 40
employees including a group of warehouse managers, supervisors and leads.
Own critical supply chain processes including scheduling decisions for incoming containers, planning and execution of custom packaging needs for big retail customers, leading communication with freight forwarders, LTL companies, FedEx and UPS.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory by conducting physical counts.
Electronically reconcile variances and strive to minimize shrinkage.
Use the company ERP system (Acumatica) and custom complementary software solutions to track and check inventory.
Partner with HR to ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies with special emphasis on safety and attendance.
Own, implement and improve company safety procedures in partnership with HR, Maintenance departments and the Executive Team.
Oversee the maintenance projects in partnership with the dedicated maintenance team.
Coach and train warehouse leadership and workforce.
Manage the inspection of labels, barcodes and other features of critical inventory items.
Ability to multi-task and work within and across teams on integrated projects / initiatives.
Strong planning skills and ability to adjust to changes as they occur.
Assist in keeping warehouses organized and adheres to storage specs.
Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
Meet deadlines in a timely manner (extremely important for success in this role).
Partner with the COO and IT team to implement and improve.
Complete other requested or assigned job duties given by the Executive Team.
Required Skills and Experience Leadership experience in leading bilingual and multicultural teams.

Ability to work on the weekends on an as-needed basis.
