00PM To provide safe non-emergency medical transportation of clients by wheelchair or stretcher to their destination.
Our NEMT Drivers coordinate, prioritize, and fulfill scheduled transfers for the assigned in a professional, timely manner using good judgment while keeping safety, privacy and efficiency a top consideration.
Our drivers are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible individuals charged with getting clients with mobility challenges to their destinations safely and on time.
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Must comprehend, and comply with the AHS Employee Handbook, and Driver Training outline.
2.
Must have a high school diploma or GED 3.
Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
4.
Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's license 5.
Must have a clean driving record with no points 6.
Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening.
7.
Must pass a mandatory criminal background screening.
8.
First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required (we will train and certify you if needed) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Transport patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe, timely and professional manner.
2.
Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
3.
Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients, visitors and co-workers.
4.
Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
5.
Assist clients and patients as needed to safely complete the transfer.
6.
Must be able to accurately complete activity logs and vehicle reports.
7.
Must be able to understand and operate iPad tablets, GPS devices, and cell phones.
8.
Perform all duties as assigned by AHS and have a flexible schedule.
9.
Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport.
10.
Operate Stretcher lifts.
(Training will be provided).
11.
Must be able to lift 300 lbs or more with an attendant.
