1K a year The Mold Maker, Plastics Injection Molding is responsible for building, repairing and maintaining injection molds, provide guidance on tooling issues, and to follow procedures and embrace new technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization Well-rounded training in machine shop and tool room practices (acquired through a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience) 5
years experience in plastic injection mold making Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and interpret 3D CAD models Analytical skills and mechanical aptitude PC experience Able to lead other tooling personnel Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude Organizational skills and maintain good attendance Treat all internal and external contacts with uncompromising respect and integrity under all circumstances.
Quote mold repairs and changes.
Provide input on needed equipment, personnel, and infrastructure.
Work with production personnel on mold maintenance, mold operation, and other tooling issues.
Prioritize work being done in tool room.
Participate in new tooling construction from mechanical drawings and/or CAD files.
Troubleshoot to determine the cause of problems associated with injections molds and perform repairs as needed.
Set up machine tools and operate various tool room machines and equipment, making necessary computations.
Work with models, mechanical drawings or other written/oral specifications.
Perform mold changeovers.
Follow company safety procedures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.
Attend team meetings to promote team building.
General housekeeping to keep the work area and plant clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
