Our Calhoun facility is looking for Machine Operators to join our team! Liberty Tire Recycling is North America's market leader.

We collect and recycle more than 33% of the nation's scrap tires, transforming 190 million tires into raw materials for smart, useful products that improve people's lives.

According to the EPA, nearly 300 million scrap tires are generated annually--scrap tires can become a breeding ground for disease-carrying mosquitos and other vermin.
Properly reclaiming and recycling these tires into reusable raw materials protects the environment and public health.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Successfully operate the shredding line equipment while complying with all safety standards, regulations and operating procedures Successfully operate the shredding line equipment following company standards and settings while maximizing production and minimizing downtime Successfully execute machine set-ups, start-ups, changeovers, steady state operations and preventative maintenance (PM's) Conduct validation testing to ensure all finished products comply with company packaging and quality control standards and guidelines Monitor and examine equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation Troubleshoot equipment stops, breakdowns, and downtime root causes Notify shift supervisor of any equipment or quality issues or problems Accurately enter, document and maintain all production paperwork and KPI metrics including daily and hourly production rates, downtime root causes, and the associated downtime minutes Perform all required equipment cleaning and maintain a clean, safe working environment Participate in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods Follow and comply with all company safety standards, work rules, and regulations Performs other duties as assigned The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job.
