Twisting Supervisor Calhoun Fibers Facility
This person practices and supports an environment of BLAST principles and high performance, helping to achieve the mission of becoming the employer and supplier of choice, having specific responsibilities for the Twisting Department and Calhoun Fibers Plant.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Communicates with Dept Manager on all relevant issues, such as personnel, quality, safety, productivity
Prepare reports and analysis daily of departmental operation for review by management
Communicate daily with employees on current issues (safety, quality, production, etc)
Place operators on lines to ensure maximum efficiencies. Verify all positions are filled
Perform hourly checks on break logs for problem positions and run ability issues
Promote a safe working environment through housekeeping teams
Reports to work in a timely manner to consult with previous shift supervisor on issues that need to be communicated
Monitors and approves employee's time in the Kronos Timekeeping System
Ensures production is recorded in database at end of the shift
Conducts Coaching and Counseling of employees
Conduct monthly safety meetings
Provides employees with necessary supplies to adequately perform daily job duties
Completes work orders for defective equipment and maintains communication with maintenance personnel for breakdowns and repairs
Ensures employees are completing hyster checklists, break log sheets, & hourly break checks
Enter comments in computer in situations where off quality may occur
Listens to employee concerns or needs and provides support in addressing those needs
Completes paperwork for Employee Development (Personnel Action Forms, Terminations, Entering Vacations, etc)
Maintains employee's attendance calendars
Attend all meetings and classes as required by management
Any other duties as assigned by management
Job
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
Computer experience ( Word, Excel, Windows) necessary
Good communication skills
Prior supervisory or lead person experience preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
